What is included in the Remi Encore Kit?

1 x 600x650mm courier bag (fits roughly 20-30 items)
1 x Instruction/information card
1 x Form (gives us an idea of what condition/price you would like for your items although ultimately the decision for pricing is REMI’s)

What is the $17.99 fee covering?

This is the price of purchasing a REMI Encore Kit. It is non-refundable and covers the admin costs associated with the service and the admin required to sell your items. It also puts some skin in the game, so you don’t order the kit and do nothing about it.

When will my clothing be listed?

We aim to upload any accepted items onto www.remi.co.nz within 28 days of arrival. As per our Terms and Conditions, each clothing must meet criteria and this process takes a while. If there is more demand, this process may take a little longer.

Who pays for the return shipping of the bag?

You do. It is too hard for us to guess how much you will send in and how much to charge for a return label. By leaving it up to you, both of us aren’t over and/or under paying the return shipping costs.

What items does Remi Encore accept?

We are looking for timeless styles and trendy/designer items. High street brands must be in perfect condition and in season. Shoes, handbags, and accessories are accepted if they are quality brands and near new. Items must be in very good to new condition and freshly washed and cleaned. Items that match the current season have a higher chance of resell. The general rule is “if you wouldn’t give it to a friend to wear, chances are it’s not sellable.”

What items are not acceptable?

Damaged/Poor condition/General Wear and Tea – pilling, stains, stretched, faded, unpleasant/strong smell, damaged, holes, rips, missing buttons, pet hair
Altered items – altered, rips repaired, instructions or label removed
Clothing categories – underwear, jewelery, traditional attire, costumes, pajamas, counterfeit items, items with offensive language or profanities, clothing related to teams/schools,
Brands – off trend old items. Low cost fast fashion brands will not be accepted, please do your own research as to what these fast fashion brands are. They cannot be sold for enough money to cover the cost of trying to sell them. Please think about donating them to your local charity shop.
Price – we will not list any items we think have a resell value of under $30 (the processing expenses exceed resale value). Please note we are unable to offer feedback on why we rejected a specific item. Unaccepted items will not be sold on the online store and are therefore not subject to a payout.

What is the consignment period?

Your items will be listed on www.remi.co.nz for 90 days.

How is pricing determined?

We will consider any pricing you have indicated on the form provided in the REMI Encore Kit sent out to you. We will determine the price of your item based on brand, seasonal demand, quality of item and current RRP of similar items. We reserve the right to adjust the listing price over time to increase its chance of being sold. This is based on our discretion and not a standard price reduction scale.

What will REMI do after receiving my items?

1. Inspect your item against our quality standards and either accept it or deny it for re sell.
   Send you an email with your consigner login details
2. Photograph, describe and list your items on www.remi.co.nz.
3. Higher value items may be posted on our social media or other marketing/advertising campaigns
4. Process the sale, send your items to the buyer and handle payments

What happens at the end of 90 days?

All items will be removed from www.remi.co.nz. You will receive an email indicating your 90 days consignment period has ended, what clothing has sold and how much your payout will be. We aim to do this within 28 days of the consignment period ending.  If you want your clothing returned to you (at a cost of $15), you must contact us within 10 working days of your consignment period ending otherwise the clothing will become the property of REMI. We reserve the right to do with the items as we like. This may include selling it to recuperate processing costs, selling as part of a bundle sale, or donating to our various community initiatives or partnerships.

What if I want Remi Encore to sell something of high price?

If you want to sell something through REMI Encore that has a resell value of over $500 then please contact us directly at remiencore@remi.co.nz for a breakdown of high-priced items commission.

What is Remi’s return policy?

Currently all sales and purchases on REMI are final (see T/C’s for buyer/seller obligations). We are unfortunately unable to refund or exchange anything. You can re-sell the item with us via a REMI Encore Kit or on your individual profile at remi.co.nz.

How much will I make out of my clothing?

You will receive 50% of the sale price after GST is taken out. Simple as that.

Can I track the progress of my items?

Yes, when your items are listed you will receive an email with login access to a consigner portal. You can track when your items have sold and check how many days left of your consignment period. REMI aims to update your consignor portal within 2 weeks of one of your items being sold.

How do payouts work?

Once the consignment period is completed, you will receive an email with a breakdown of your items sold, their selling prices and your earnings amount. This amount will be paid into your bank account provided on your google form. It is your responsibility to ensure this bank account is correct.
