Circularity by Aotearoa: Peoples Coffee

The best and worst thing about starting a business is that you quickly learn you are one of many. Building a brand in the circular space has taught us this firsthand and so we decided to document the journey and share the stories of all the fantastic businesses we have been meeting. Picking their brains, and discovering the “why” behind what they do. Naturally, we started like every good day should—with coffee. Peoples coffee.

Peoples Coffee focuses on sustainability through fair-trade and organic sourcing.
Partnering with small grower cooperatives, they ensure ethical practices throughout the coffee supply chain, from seed to cup.

They are dedicated to:
  • Sourcing coffee ethically through long-standing cooperative partnerships.
  • Valuing everyone involved in the supply chain, from farmer to consumer.
  • Minimising environmental impact by supporting organic and fair-trade practices.
  • Producing high-quality coffee that reflects their commitment to sustainability.
  • They believe coffee is more than a beverage—it’s a connection between people, nature, and communities. Their approach combines exceptional taste with environmental stewardship and fairness to farmers, ensuring their process supports both social and environmental sustainability.

Enjoy these pictures of their beautiful space!
